How to apply make up Sultry smoky eye

How to apply make up to achieve the sultry smoky eye effect.

The over all look of the face is to emphasize the smoky eye, so the rest of the face should have lightly applied make up.

  • Foundation, concealer and face powder should be of fairly neutral tone
  • Apply a neutral eye shadow as the base colour
  • Apply black liquid liner along the lashline
  • Draw over the liner with a black khol pencil, then smudge.
  • Concentrating on the outer corner of the eyelid apply black eyeshadow and blend
  • Add a warm shadow (slightly darker than your own skin tone) to the brow bone
  • Apply a white or cream shadow under the eye brow and blend with the brow bone shadow
  • Using a nude of beige shimmer, lightly sweep from the inner corner of the eye to about 2/3rds of the way across the eyelid
  • Define the lashline by reapplying black liquid liner finely.
  • Using a black khol pencil line the inner under eye rim and lower lashes
  • Add black shadow under the eye and blend
  • Adding a nude shimmer under the eye will enhance the sultry effect of the eye
  • Curl lashes and add black mascara
  • Use a pale or pink blush and lightly apply to cheek bones
  • Use a nude lip pencil to outline the lips
  • Add a pale pink lip gloss to fill the lips
